Not to be confused with the 2002 version Life Size Dancing Santa (2002).
The Life Size Dancing Santa (2008) is an animated Christmas decoration made since 2008. He wears his signature suit and hat, a belt, and black boots. When activated by button or sensor, Santa says holiday greetings and swings his hips and arms, turns his head and moves his mouth as he sings 4 holiday songs:
- "Up On the Housetop"
- "Jingle Bells"
- "Deck the Halls"
- "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
He can also hook up to an auxiliary cord to play your own music and has multilingual options (English, French, Spanish)

Trivia[]
- Some models from 2008-2011 featured white gloves instead of flesh tone hands.
- This Santa has a switch to change the language from English. Some models can sing in Spanish, and some can sing in French. The French mode model is known to be most commonly sold in Canada.
- In 2018, Gemmy changed this Santa to have a new head sculpt and inserted eyeballs. The eyes were painted on, on the previous models.
- This version of the life size Santa was voiced by voice actor Jay Brown.
- The base was updated in 2023 to a circular shape resembling the base of the original 2002 life size Santa.
- The 2011 version of the Life Size Dr. Shivers Halloween animatronic uses the belt buckle from the 2008-2023 version of this Santa.
- The 2024 version reuses the belt buckle for the Life Size Buddy the Elf.
- Gemmy reused this Santa Clauses module and base on the Life Size Dancing Snowman in 2018 and the Life Size Dancing Grinch in 2020-Present. A Life Size Dancing Polar Bear was also prototyped around the time of the Snowman/Grinch with the Santa’s formula, but it did not get produced.
- Gemmy reused this Santa Clauses original square base on the early prototypes of the Life Size Pennywise, Life Size Freddy Krueger and Life Size Jason in 2019.
- Some recent models of the Walmart Santa from pre-2023 play both the English/Spanish songs on the constant ON mode, regardless of what language mode you have him set too. It is unknown if he was intentionally programmed like this for store display, or it was a factory error.
